OBEDIENCE

we all go through situations in our lives where we are left in situations where we just so desperately want to do a certain thing but God says something that’s just idiotic or foolish to our little brains that God has given us. Let me explain this with an example again from Moses’ life.

Then the LORD said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to Me? Tell the sons of Israel to go forward. “As for you, lift up your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it, and the sons of Israel shall go through the midst of the sea on dry land.                             Exodus 14:15-16

In this passage, we see God talking in a very different way. He literally is asking moses “Why are you crying out to Me? Tell the sons of Israel to go forward.”. well  the people of israel is in the shore line and they have no where to go and God is saying”GO FORWARD”. God then continues to say to Moses “DIVIDE THE SEA”. There are two things that God is asking moses to do here

1.go forward
2.stretch your hand and divide the sea

and both of these at that moment are technically or logically speaking “IMPOSSIBLE” to do. It is this kind of situation that I was talking about in the beginning of this blog. Often times we do not understand the true essence of obedience when it comes to God. With God it is not about what you achieve out of the act of obedience but rather about the willingness to do the act itself. The example of Moses will makes it much easier to understand.

Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and all that night the LORD drove the sea back with a strong east wind and turned it into dry land. The waters were divided,
Exodus 14:21
As we discussed earlier, God asked Moses to divide the sea. We know that no matter what, he can never divide the sea but he still obeyed God and  did what he could and that was stretching his hand over the sea. When Moses did his ‘stretching’ part as God commanded, God did the ‘dividing’ part and the people of Israel went through the dry land to the other side of the sea.
When it comes to God it is better to just blindly obey God irrespective of whether it is possible or not. Just do your part and He will take care of the rest.why I say it is better to do it this way is because; if not , then God will force you to do so and that will not be good.

A WALK ON WATER

Hey, guys hope y'all are doing good. I’m going to be sharing what God is speaking to me in the blog every week, so stay tuned and come back to get a word of encouragement and revelation from God. Also, the blog is in the form of a podcast. You can find the links to the podcast in the podcast tab. All of this aside, let’s get to the blog. When you think of the season that we as the whole world are going through with the widespread of the covid virus, it’s as though we were given no time to even think about what was happening. It was like a wave that hit us, we never expected. A similar situation is where the disciples find themselves in Matthew 14:22 Immediately after this, Jesus insisted that his disciples get back into the boat and cross to the other side of the lake, while he sent the people home. The word immediately shows the transition from one of the greatest miracles performed by Jesus to a stormy and wavy sea they never expected. They had no time to process the miracle, ye...

JESUS 2.0

When we say the word ‘Jesus’ what are some of the things that come to our mind. If we are to list them it would be something like, ·       God ·       Church ·       Gospel ·       Worship ·       Christianity ·       Christian ·       Deity  And more ideas similar to what I have listed here. All of the above-listed ideas and things do tell something about Jesus and is a part of who He is and what He does. When I typed Jesus in google this is what came up:   So, this tells us that google identifies Jesus as ·       A statue ·       A statement ·       A movie ·       Maybe some book ·       And much more if we scroll further Even the bible tells a lot about Jesus from start t...

HIS WILL. BEAR FRUIT

Doing the will of God may sound so easy but in action, it seems very hard. The task although is simple it takes a lot of gut and grit to complete the task the way God wants it to be done. Why I say this is because sometimes doing the will of God means less of my joy and happiness, it means to sacrifice some things I love a lot, it means to throw the things I enjoy being with, it means the end of certain relationships and so on. Often times we tend to wonder why the will of God is the way it is. But there is a way to do this “will of God”. In John 15:16 Jesus says this 16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit-fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.                                                                   ...
