SPIRITUAL SECRETS - FOOD

SPIRITUAL SECRETS is a series of blogs that will give a detailed insight into some of the spiritual secrets that I learned from the holy spirit.
The first spiritual secret that we are going to see is FOOD. When I say Food, it is not merely the food that we see with our eyes and the food that we consume everyday but rather the food that we often times forget to consume.

Let me start with this topic with a question-what are the basic needs of a human to live on planet earth? Google answers this question with a link from NASA

Here NASA, one of the world renown organisation whose answers are considered legit, says that there are 4 basic needs for a human to survive on this earth and FOOD is one of them. Likewise, it is also the basic need for the spiritual man who we often times forget to feed. But you may ask me “how can you say that the spirit man also needs food?”. Let me take you to Genesis 1:27 and it says like this:

So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
Here we see that God created man in His image. So if we need food that means that God also needs food, it’s just that the food that we eat and the food that God eats are so much different. But you may ask how does this explain the fact that our spirit also needs food?

“For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.”

This verse is from john 4:24 and it says that God is spirit that means our spirit also needs food just like God needs food. Well naturally the next question that will arise is “what is this food that we must be feeding spirit man?”
The answer to that question would be

"I am the living bread that came down out of heaven; if anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread also which I will give for the life of the world is My flesh."
John 6:51
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
john 1:14
When we examine both of these verses we get 2 facts
1.     Jesus is the living bread (food)
2.     The word became flesh (Jesus)

SO, THIS MEANS THAT THE WORD OF GOD IS THE FOOD FOR THE SPIRIT.

Image result for smelling food cartoonevery Christian reads the word of God but we often times find ourselves in a position where we find the word of God so overwhelming that we most of the times do not get what is actually written in the Bible. I find myself in those situations many times. The reason why this is happening is because the word of God is the food to the spirit not to the flesh. But most of us end up trying to access what’s written in the word of God (Eat the spiritual food) in the physical by reading it just like that. But the truth is that we cannot understand the real truth hidden in the word of if we try to read it in the flesh or the physical. When we do this, it is equal to just smelling the delicious food that is kept before us and not eating it.

What we really must be doing is that we must access the spirit of God first and then read the word of God with the help of the holy spirit who will feed this spiritual food to our spirit man that we will grow in the spirit. When we do this, we will find ourselves in a position where the word of God will make so much more sense and meaning in our lives. So, the outcome of this blog will be: read the word of God along with the Holy spirit of God.

A WALK ON WATER

Hey, guys hope y'all are doing good. I’m going to be sharing what God is speaking to me in the blog every week, so stay tuned and come back to get a word of encouragement and revelation from God. Also, the blog is in the form of a podcast. You can find the links to the podcast in the podcast tab. All of this aside, let’s get to the blog. When you think of the season that we as the whole world are going through with the widespread of the covid virus, it’s as though we were given no time to even think about what was happening. It was like a wave that hit us, we never expected. A similar situation is where the disciples find themselves in Matthew 14:22 Immediately after this, Jesus insisted that his disciples get back into the boat and cross to the other side of the lake, while he sent the people home. The word immediately shows the transition from one of the greatest miracles performed by Jesus to a stormy and wavy sea they never expected. They had no time to process the miracle, ye...

JESUS 2.0

When we say the word ‘Jesus’ what are some of the things that come to our mind. If we are to list them it would be something like, ·       God ·       Church ·       Gospel ·       Worship ·       Christianity ·       Christian ·       Deity  And more ideas similar to what I have listed here. All of the above-listed ideas and things do tell something about Jesus and is a part of who He is and what He does. When I typed Jesus in google this is what came up:   So, this tells us that google identifies Jesus as ·       A statue ·       A statement ·       A movie ·       Maybe some book ·       And much more if we scroll further Even the bible tells a lot about Jesus from start t...

HIS WILL. BEAR FRUIT

Doing the will of God may sound so easy but in action, it seems very hard. The task although is simple it takes a lot of gut and grit to complete the task the way God wants it to be done. Why I say this is because sometimes doing the will of God means less of my joy and happiness, it means to sacrifice some things I love a lot, it means to throw the things I enjoy being with, it means the end of certain relationships and so on. Often times we tend to wonder why the will of God is the way it is. But there is a way to do this “will of God”. In John 15:16 Jesus says this 16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit-fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.                                                                   ...
