WHO WAS DAVID?

In this blog, we will look at David as an example so you get clarity on the 5 aspects of your life. David from the bible is a very interesting person. He was called to be king, which is a huge responsibility. Let’s look into these 5 aspects of David’s life and see how they had an influence in his life in fulfilling the calling God had kept over his life. 1.LIKES       David liked to sing to the lord The book of psalms is evidence to the fact that David loved to sing praises to God.       He liked to hang out with friends The bible records various instances when David and Jonathon meet together.  2.DISLIKES       Blaspheming against God David didn’t like when someone blasphemed against the living God. he just hated it and that is the reason why he went against Goliath in battle.        Disrespecting the Lord’s anointed The Bible repeatedly records David saying to people around him that no one is to kill or ...

WHO ARE YOU - PART 2

Does the answer to who are you end with finding your personality? No, the answer has a bit more to it than just finding your personality. There are 5 important aspects of each person’s life that you must know to have a complete understanding of who you are. These 5 aspects will also help you get a better understanding of the calling God has kept over you. Although it will not precisely tell you what your calling is, it will give you a clearer picture of the calling than what you previously had. With the help of your personality that you wrote above and the holy spirit, you can easily find these 5 aspects of your life.  The 5 aspects: • Likes • Dislikes • Talents • Strengths • Weaknesses Before I get into the five aspects, I want you to understand something. What I’m going to tell you is not some formula or method by which you can find your calling. Because I can’t tell you what God has for you. Only God can do that. Therefore, I ask of you that you sit alone and spend tim...

WHO ARE YOU?

Many questions in our life are unanswered, some to which we don’t even try finding the answers. ‘Who are you?’ is one such question. If we are to ask 10 random people this question- “who are you?”, I believe only 2 of them will be able to answer this question. I mean a definitive answer and not a vague answer. I was one of those people who didn’t know a definitive answer to the question ‘who are you?’. When someone was to ask this question, I would say I am that and this, but never know who I was. I didn’t even try to find the answer to this question.  There came a point in my life when I realized something that lead me to find the answer to the unanswered question of my life. As I found myself battling against the evil forces at work against my life, I realized that 70-75% of the battles I fought against the enemy was because I didn’t know who I was and this ignorance was the entry point for the devil to my life. After this, I realized that I was wasting my time fighting unwanted ...

EXTREME EMOTIONS

Emotions are a part of everyone’s life and we can’t remove it. Emotions are yet another tool for the devil to play in our lives. emotions by themselves are not wrong or sinful. But when these emotions are pushed to the extreme they always lead us to sin. The book of James records the same thing, but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. James 1:14-15 Here James uses the word desire . This can be interpreted as an 'extreme emotion'. Because James says that they are dragged away and enticed which is what happens when emotions reach the extreme state. The devil does not push the emotions to the extreme but he triggers us to do so. We are the one who is sinning, but he provokes us to do it. He uses people around us, things that are said over us, things that happen to others and many other triggers that d...

THE CALLING - Know your enemy II

As we are getting to know our enemy, we must know the tools and the ways by which he does all that I mentioned before. What I am about to tell will be used by the devil at any given scenario.   Jesus says like this of the devil in John 8:44,   … He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.   John 8:44   Here we see Jesus saying that the devil has nothing to do with the truth and is the father of lies as it is in his character. The main tool that the enemy uses against us is, LIES. The most disheartening fact about the lies of the devil is that they are very much believable and more so presented to us as the truth. That is why the devil is called a deceiver. He uses deception as his main tool and strategy against us to stop us from walking in the call that God has kept over our lives. What is deception? ...

THE CALLING - Know your enemy

As we are in the journey of learning about ‘the calling’ God has kept over our lives, we need to know about our enemy. The enemy is the one who is always waiting to stop us from doing the will of God in our lives. Therefore, we must have a complete understanding of our enemy and his strategies. This will help us to overcome the oppositions and trials on our way that we may stand in our calling till the end.   Under this topic, I am going to talk, in a practical manner, on what are the things that the devil will bring on our way in the walk with God, how he does that and how to overcome it all. Firstly, let’s look into the solution before we go to the problem, but the truth is that you already know the answer to the problem. Well, if you are wondering what the solution is? The answer is- relationship with God. I have already explained in detail about the various aspects of this relationship we are to have with God. Let me remind you of the 3 things that happen in the relationship w...
